„Those who were actively involved in the development of solutions are also prepared to take responsibility for their implementation later on“
Conflict competence is often the supreme discipline in counselling.
Conflicts in particular require good analyses and the choice of the right procedure. It takes a great deal of courage and sensitivity on all sides to address and accept things in an appreciative manner.
You should make sure that your conflict counsellor has a clear analytical mind and empathy in addition to their specialist knowledge. After the initial meeting, they should be able to present you with a comprehensible, individualised „solution architecture“.
Nobody knows the content of the conflict as well as you as the conflict party. As a conflict counsellor, I have an outside perspective and take responsibility for the step-by-step, structured resolution of the dispute. As a conflict resolution expert who is not involved in the conflict, I recognise the appropriate processing architecture for your conflict.
My work is based on a thorough analysis of the conflict. Using your information and my interdisciplinary knowledge and experience, I first analyse the nature of the conflict, the personalities of the parties involved and the size and content of the conflict. After a joint risk assessment, I will draw up your conflict resolution architecture and explain to you what I consider to be the most suitable dispute resolution procedure. This can be legal action, but also mediation, a workshop, organisational development, training or conflict coaching. Depending on its depth and severity, every conflict may require the inclusion of health, legal, financial, family, organisational, intercultural and social aspects.
Immediate mediation or a clarification aid does not make sense in every case, as these procedures, which are focussed on the individual, also involve risks! In Germany in particular, we have a highly efficient legal system, which is merely supplemented by other types of procedure to resolve the conflict. In other countries, the situation is different.
Therefore, only after analysing the conflict as a trained lawyer with my psychosocial training and international experience as an organisational consultant, trainer, coach and mediator can I offer the conflict parties an individualised and tailor-made processing architecture or recommend them to suitable specialists.
In my conflict training, you will learn tools for resolving your conflicts. You will recognise how different personalities contribute to the conflict phases. You will know how to intervene in conflicts professionally and at an early stage using the methods and techniques you have learnt.
You will recognise conflicts and their interventions in good time. You will be sensitised to recognise conflicts and know which interventions should be made, by whom and at what point in time.
Your Benefits…
You have learnt to distinguish between different types of conflict and recognise the dynamics of conflict escalation. Through more precise perception, you will reflect on the dynamics of your conflicts. In active exercises, you will learn the „how“ of conflict intervention.
